Prochymal for Treatment of GvHD

Prochymal is currently in clinical trials for the treatment of acute graft versus host disease (GvHD). GvHD is a life threatening immune condition that can affect cancer patients who have received a bone marrow transplant.

Prochymal Data

Colon Endoscopy from
GvHD Patient
2 Weeks Post-Prochymal Treatment

Endoscopy results comparing colon health from a GvHD patient prior to (left) and two weeks following Prochymal treatment (right). At the time of Prochymal infusion, this patient was unresponsive to all other modes of intervention. The circled area in the left panel marks an ulcerative lesion.

Prochymal for GvHD Clinical Status

Osiris is currently conducting two separate multi-center Phase III human clinical trials to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Prochymal for the treatment of acute GvHD.  One trial is evaluating Prochymal as a treatment for newly diagnosed acute GvHD and the other is evaluating Prochymal in the more severe steroid refractory acute GvHD.   Both trials for acute GvHD are currently enrolling patients.
